SYMPTOMS
You run a program that you built by using the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1. After your program has been running for a short time, the CPU Usage suddenly increases and a threadpool thread becomes corrupted. When this problem occurs, threads no longer unload.
You experience the following behavior:
- CPU Usage suddenly increases and one of the threads in the program deadlocks.
- Another thread continues to create manual events.
- A wait thread fires repeatedly on an AutoResetEvent that has a Win32 native manual event under it because the wait thread is trying to process the completion.
