The Contacts Index bar for the Syriac and for the Divehi (Thaana) fonts do not work in Outlook 2003 (827597)

SUMMARY

The Contacts Index bar for the Syriac and for the Divehi (Thaana) fonts do not work in Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 if you are running a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer or a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because both the Syriac and the Divehi (Thaana) fonts were released after Microsoft Windows 2000 Server and Windows XP.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.

MORE INFORMATION

This problem only occurs with Windows 2000 Server-based computers that are running Microsoft Exchange Server. Exchange Server does not recognize the Divehi (Thaana) and the Syriac (Thaana) fonts. Both the Divehi (Thaana) and the Syriac (Thaana) fonts are new for Windows XP and for Windows 2000 Server.
