Session Summary
Wednesday, November 12, 2003
Monitoring large and enterprise operations is a very
difficult process. Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) makes it easier. MOM
helps overcome the challenge by optimizing and tuning the monitoring
infrastructure for your specific environment. This Support WebCast will present
best practices for improving your IT operations process with MOM; for designing
and helping to protect your MOM monitoring infrastructure to be highly
available (in addition to hardware redundancy); by centralizing disparate
tools, scripts, and knowledge to reduce your total cost of ownership (TCO).
These best practices are based on feedback that Microsoft received from the
field and also from first-hand experience monitoring the Microsoft Game Studios
(MGS) Operations services. The services include the massively multiplayer
online role playing games, Asheron's Call 2.0 and Age of
Mythology.
This is a
Level
200 session that will be presented by Baelson Duque. Baelson has
extensive experience in many areas as a Microsoft Certified Office Solutions
Developer and a Tier 1 Support Analyst for the MSN Gaming Zone. He was Tools
and Systems Engineer for the Microsoft Game Studios Operations team and owned
the design and implementation of the overall monitoring infrastructure. He is
currently a Program Manager for the MOM Product Unit.
