The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in coordinated universal time (UTC). After you apply the hotfix, you can set the default number of configuration requests by editing the following new registry key:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\PPP\ControlProtocols\BuiltIn
MaxMSIPCPOptionCfgCnt
To do this, follow these steps.

- Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
- Locate the following registry key:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\RasMan\PPP\ControlProtocols\BuiltIn
MaxMSIPCPOptionCfgCnt
- In the right pane, right-click default, and then click Modify.
- Under Value data in the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, type the number of configuration requests that you want, and then click OK.
Note By default, this value is set to 5. However, you may want to increase it to 8 or more. - On the File menu, click Exit.
