"File was opened but some problems were encountered" warning message when you convert a CAD drawing to Visio 2003 format (827503)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2003
- Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2003
SYMPTOMSWhen you open a CAD drawing (.dwg file) that contains
three-dimensional (3-D) images in Microsoft Office Visio 2003, and you convert
the CAD drawing to Visio 2003 format by saving it as a .vsd file, you may
receive the following warning message: The file was
opened but some problems were encountered. Details of the problems were added
to the log file. When you click OK on the message,
the conversion finishes. However, the 3-D images are missing from the converted
drawing. CAUSEThis problem may occur if the following conditions are true:
- The CAD drawing is saved in paper space.
- The CAD drawing contains 3-D images that cannot be
converted to Visio format.
In this situation, when you convert the CAD drawing to Visio
format, the converted Visio drawing may not include all layers. As a result,
the 3-D images are missing from the drawing. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
