Project Web access tab is blank when you double-click a Project Server 2003 Outlook calendar item (827401)

SYMPTOMS

When you double-click a Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 Outlook calendar item, the Project Web access tab is blank instead of displaying the timesheet.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when Microsoft Outlook is installed on a Terminal Server system if the Outlook Visual Basic Scripting Support is not installed.

RESOLUTION

Temporarily Disable Terminal Services

To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.
  2. Expand Services and Applications, click Services, right-click Terminal Services, and then click Properties.
  3. In the Startup Type box, click Disabled.

    Note Make a note if the current setting is Manual or Automatic so that you can restore this setting later.

Install the Scripting Support

  1. To download Microsoft Windows Script 5.6 for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

Enable Terminal Services Again

  1. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Manage.
  2. Expand Services and Applications, click Services, right-click Terminal Services, and then click Properties.
  3. In the Startup Type box, click Automatic or click Manual.
