Text size changes when you copy from one publication to another in Publisher 2003 (827306)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office Publisher 2003
SYMPTOMSWhen you copy text frames from one publication to another,
the text in those text frames changes font size.CAUSEThis issue occurs because the text frames were created by a
Publisher 2003 wizard. Text that is in wizard-created text frames can be
changed without user intervention.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, follow these steps:
- Start Publisher 2003, on the File menu,
click New.
- On the Tools menu, click
Options.
- Click the User Assistance tab.
- Click to clear the Use a wizard for blank
publications check box, and then click OK.
- Quit Publisher 2003.
When you create a new publication and copy text frames from
another publication into it, the text will not change. Note This resolution only applies to blank publications that you
create after you change the Use a wizard for blank
publications setting. If you have already created a publication, the
text in the copied text frames may change. MORE INFORMATIONPublisher 2003 chooses the size of type for wizard-created
text boxes based on the page size of the publication (among other factors). If
you copy text frames from a wizard-created business card (for example) and
paste it into a wizard-created tabloid-size publication, Publisher 2003
enlarges the text. If you paste the same text frames in a non-wizard-created
publication, the text does not change size.
