ShapeSheets Appear in the Same Window in Visio 2003 When You Open Multiple ShapeSheets (827288)

SYMPTOMS

When you open multiple ShapeSheets in Microsoft Office Visio 2003, each ShapeSheet will appear in the same window instead of in separate windows. This behavior is different from Microsoft Visio 2002.

CAUSE

By default, the Open each ShapeSheet in the same window option is turned on in Visio 2003.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, turn off the Open each ShapeSheet in the same window option. To do so, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. Click the Advanced tab.
  3. Under Advanced Options, click to clear the Open each ShapeSheet in the same window check box.
  4. Click OK.
