You cannot import the Calendar folder from an Excel workbook to your Calendar in Outlook 2003 (826965)

SYMPTOMS

When you try to import the Calendar folder from a Microsoft Excel file to your Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 Calendar, the import does not work.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you export the Calendar to an Excel file while Outlook is in online mode, and then try to import the items from the Excel file to the Calendar while Outlook is in offline mode.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, start Outlook in online mode, and then import the Excel file to the Calendar.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
