You cannot access a custom menu with Microsoft Project Web Access (826962)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office Project Server 2003
- Microsoft Project Web Access
SUMMARYWhen you try to connect to a custom menu with Microsoft Project Web
Access, you cannot access the custom menu. For example, if you create a
custom menu that has "ProjectServer" in the Web address, and you log on to the
following Web site http:// server name/projectserver where server name is the name of your
Microsoft Project server, you cannot access the custom menu. CAUSEThis problem occurs when you log on to Microsoft Project Web Access by using a Microsoft Project Web Access account. The problem occurs because Microsoft Internet Explorer sessions in Microsoft Project Web Access
are sensitive to the case of the URLs. If you initiate an Internet Explorer
session by using a particular URL casing, session information is cached by
Internet Explorer for that specific URL casing only.WORKAROUNDUse one of the following methods to work around this
problem:
- Log off Microsoft Project Web Access and log on to Microsoft Project Web Access with the correct URL
casing.
- Log on to Microsoft Project Web Access by using a Microsoft Windows NT authenticated
account.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
