FIX: Your application may unexpectedly stop responding when the data from the dataset has a filter applied to the data in the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (826954)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1

SYMPTOMS

When you work with a DataGrid control in the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1, your application may unexpectedly stop responding when the data from the dataset has a filter applied to the data.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when your instance of the DataGrid control is populated from a local data source, and the DataGrid control tries to redraw after the local data source is filtered. The instance of the DataGrid control causes the application to stop responding. This problem occurs because the DataGrid control cannot determine the number of rows of data that are in the new dataset.
