Exchange 2003 reports are not listed on the default MOM Reporting Web page (826953)

SYMPTOMS

After you apply the Microsoft Exchange 2003 Management Pack for Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2000, the Exchange 2003 reports may not be listed on the default MOM Reporting Web page. For example, the Exchange 2003 reports are not listed on http://server_name/reporting/default.asp, where server_name is the name of the computer that MOM is installed on.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next MOM service pack that contains this hotfix.

This hotfix must be applied to each computer where either one of the following conditions is true:
  • The computer has the MOM Reporting component installed.
  • The computer has Microsoft SQL Server installed and contains the MOM (OnePoint) database.
To install this hotfix, follow these steps:
  1. Copy the Q826953.exe file either to a local folder on the computer's hard disk or to any accessible network share.
  2. Run Q826953.exe locally on each applicable computer. You can run Q826953.exe either from Windows Explorer or from a command prompt.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
