SYMPTOMSWhen you try to print a document to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet 4 or an HP LaserJet 5 printer from a Windows 2000-based computer, one or more of the following behaviors may occur: - The print job sits in the queue, but the printer does not print it.
- The Print Spooler service may stop responding, and one of the following error events is reported in the application event log:Event Type: Error

. CAUSEThis behavior occurs because the printer driver is damaged. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, reinstall the drivers for the HP LaserJet 4 printer or the HP LaserJet 5 printer from the Windows 2000 CD-ROM.
