You cannot merge two note containers when you use the keyboard in OneNote 2003 (826806)

SYMPTOMS

When you use your keyboard to try to merge two note containers in OneNote 2003, the note containers do not merge.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because OneNote does not support the use of the keyboard to merge note containers.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, use your mouse to drag a note container to merge it with another note container. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. To move your note container on the page, click the top edge of the note container, and then drag the container.
  2. Drag the note container near another note container until the two containers merge to become a single note container.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
