OL2000: Mailbox Folder Names Are Reset After You Move Them (826504)
The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSMailbox folder names are reset to their initial names after you move the mailbox in Outlook 2000.CAUSEAfter a mailbox is created in Microsoft Exchange 2000, the folder name is decided by the first logon client language.
However, if you move the mailbox to another store by using both Active Directory User and the Move Mailbox Wizard in Exchange 2000,
the mailbox folder names are set back to their initial names. Therefore, after you move your mailbox to another store, the name of that mailbox folder is changed to the first logon client language.RESOLUTIONFollow these steps to resolve this behavior: - Verify that the MAPI client that is used to log on to the mailbox is the preferred language version.
- Rename the folders by using the ExMerge utility.
