The full e-mail message is downloaded when the Download Headers option is specified in Outlook 2003 on a Tablet PC (826487)

SYMPTOMS

If you are using Outlook 2003 in Cached Exchange Mode on your Tablet PC, and you have the Download Headers option turned on, the complete e-mail message is downloaded instead of just the e-mail message header.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of a category-based rule that overrides the configuration to download e-mail message headers only.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, verify that your rules do not conflict with the configuration to download e-mail message headers only. To change a rule, click your Inbox, and then click Rules and Alerts on the Tools menu.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
