Text that flows around pictures reflows incorrectly when you open a Publisher 2000 publication in Publisher 2003 (826359)
The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Office Publisher 2003
- Microsoft Office Publisher 2003 with Digital Image Pro
SYMPTOMSWhen you open a Microsoft Publisher 2000 publication in
Publisher 2003, the text that flows around pictures may reflow in an unexpected
way. For example, the text may wrap in different places, and some text may
overflow its text frame.CAUSEThis problem occurs because Microsoft Publisher handles text
wrapping differently between Publisher 2003 and Publisher 2000. Because of the
different ways that the two versions of Publisher handle text wrapping around
pictures, Publisher 2003 incorrectly converts the publication for the Publisher
2000 version.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, follow these steps:
- Select the picture that overlaps the text in the text
frame.
- Right-click the picture, and then click Format
Picture.
- Click the Layout tab.
- Change the Wrapping Style from
Square to Tight.
- Click OK.
STATUS Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
at the beginning of this article.
