Public folder replication does not work for certain public folders and the information store intermittently does not process replication messages in Exchange 2000 Server (826149)

SYMPTOMS

In your Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server organization, you notice that public folder replication does not update information in some public folder replicas. Additionally, you may experience both the following symptoms:

If you increase diagnostic logging on the affected computer, you notice that the computer intermittently does not process received public folder replication messages.
If you run the Isinteg tool on the public folder server that does not contain up-to-date public folder information, you receive the following warning results during the replication test:This folder should have an entry in the Folders table.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
