SYMPTOMS
When you run the Iisback.vbs script to back up your Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0 metabase on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
The IIS Admin scripts only support IIS 6.0
Similar symptoms may occur when you run other scripts that use the
IIsScriptHelper object (Iisschlp.wsc). These scripts include the Iisftp.vbs script file or the Iiscnfg.vbs script file.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Windows Server 2003 service pack that contains this hotfix.

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, install the World Wide Web Publishing service on a Windows Server 2003-based computer. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, point to Control Panel, click Add or Remove Programs, and then click Add/Remove Windows Components.
- Click Application Server, click Details, click Internet Information Services (IIS), and then click Details.
- Click to select the World Wide Web Service check box, and then click OK two times.
- Click Next, and then follow the instructions that are on the screen.
