You cannot change the default font of an existing note container when you press BACKSPACE to delete text (825932)

SYMPTOMS

On a OneNote 2003 page that contains text that is in a note container, when you change the default font (for example, you change the default font to Arial) and then press BACKSPACE to delete the existing text in the note container, the text that you type inside the note container may still appear in the old default font.

CAUSE

This behavior may occur with an existing note container. However, when you click a different area of the page to type text in a new note container, the font does change to the new default font.

WORKAROUND

To work around this behavior after you change the default font, do one of the following:
  • Create a new note container.

    -or-
  • Create a new OneNote 2003 page.
