Short audio recordings do not play in OneNote 2003 (825927)

SYMPTOMS

When you make a short audio recording in OneNote 2003 and then click Play, the audio recording does not play.

CAUSE

This problem occurs when your audio recording is less than 5 seconds in length. When Microsoft Windows Media Player tries to play the recording, a stop condition may exist that may cause OneNote 2003 to stop playing the audio recording.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, upgrade to Microsoft Windows Media Player 9 Series or later. For more information about Windows Media Player 9 Series, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
