SUMMARY

This article describes the Outlook 2000 issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Outlook 2000 Post-Service Pack 3 Hotfix package that is dated August 21, 2003.

Issues That Are Fixed in the Hotfix Package

The following issues are fixed in this hotfix package, but were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article.
  • When you try to install a printer on a computer that has both Microsoft Office 2000 and Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 installed, you may receive the following error message:
    Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied.
  • If the following conditions are true in Outlook 2000
    • You have multiple sites and servers in your organization.

      -and-
    • You replicate a child folder without replicating the parent folder.
    you cannot view the properties of the replicated child folder to manage it even if you are the owner of the child folder and are logged on to a public folder that only contains the replicated child folder.
  • When you check the spelling of text that contains both misspelled English words and some Japanese text , the Japanese text may be incorrectly flagged as misspelled.
