MORE INFORMATION

With Virtual PC for Mac, you must install the Virtual PC Additions so that the keyboard drivers for your guest operating system work correctly with a foreign keyboard layout

Add the keyboard layout to a guest operating system

To install a keyboard layout in your guest operating system, follow these steps:
  1. Open Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.
  2. On the Languages tab, under Text services and input languages, click Details.
  3. Under Installed services, click Add.
  4. In the Input language list, click the language for the keyboard layout or Input Method Editor (IME) you want to add.
  5. Click to select the Keyboard layout/IME check box if multiple options are available, and then click a service in the list. There are two special keyboard services that are included with Virtual PC for Mac:
    • German language: Deutsch (Macintosh)
    • French language: Français (Macintosh)
When the new layouts are installed you can select the keyboard layout that you want to use from the Language Bar.
