The wallpaper for your virtual machine's desktop has a black border (825564)

SYMPTOMS

When you start a virtual machine in Connectix Virtual PC for Mac 5.0, if your desktop has a wallpaper applied, the wallpaper may have a black border.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the screen resolution of the virtual machine is set to a non-standard size such as 327 by 421 pixels. The Microsoft Windows operating system expects a standard-size screen resolution, such as 640 by 480 pixels. When Windows detects a non-standard screen resolution, Windows puts the wallpaper graphic inside a border.
