Merlin animated character runs slowly during registration for Windows Millennium Edition (825553)

SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition in a virtual machine, you may find that the Merlin animated character runs slowly during registration.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, wait for the registration to finish. After the registration is complete, the performance of Windows Millennium Edition is restored in the virtual machine.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
