System Requirements

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0 or later.

    -or-

Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) 5.0 or later and the World Wide Web service installed.

    -or-

Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0, Service Pack 6a or later with Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 4.0 or later and the World Wide Web service installed.

Note On the Microsoft Windows operating system, the security features of FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions require the NTFS file system. Microsoft Windows 2000 includes a conversion utility (Convert.exe) that you can use to convert an existing file allocation table (FAT) volume to NTFS without losing data. If you try to install FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions to a hard disk formatted with FAT, your default virtual server may not be extended. Additionally, any sites that you create on that virtual server will not be secure.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.
  • From 30 to 70 megabytes (MB) of available hard disk space. Additional hard disk space is required to host the Web sites and subwebs your users will create. These requirements are guidelines only, and vary depending on the computer and operating system.
