To divide a large root Web into several smaller subsites, follow these steps:

Start FrontPage, and then open the Web that you want to divide into subsites.
Organize your content into folders in your Web.
Right-click a folder that you want to make into a subsite, and then click Convert to Web.
In the Changing this folder will cause pages in it to change dialog box, click Yes.

Note If you want to use hyperlinks to move from the root Web to a subsite or between subsites, you must use an absolute hyperlink, for example:

http://example.microsoft.com/examplesubsite

Additionally, if you use shared borders and navigation bars, you may experience some problems.
