Icons in the Dock for Some Windows Programs Do Not Quit When the Program Quits (825405)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Connectix Virtual PC for Mac version 6.0
  • Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac version 6.1, when used with:
    • the operating system: Mac OS X

SYMPTOMS

When you quit a Windows program in a virtual machine in Microsoft Virtual PC for Mac on an Apple Mac OS X-based computer, the icon for the program may remain on the Dock in the host Macintosh.

WORKAROUND

To remove the icon from the dock, follow these steps:
  1. Press and hold the CONTROL key, and then click the icon.
  2. Click Quit.
