Local and Remote Administrator Consoles Display Different Configuration Data (825263)

The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 SP1

SYMPTOMS

When you enter configuration data in a Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) console, only MOM consoles that are installed the same architecture display the configuration data correctly. For example, the following behavior may occur:
  • MOM configuration data, such as the Agent Service Account, entered from a MOM Administrator console running on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer, appears correctly in other MOM Administrator consoles that run on Windows 2000-based computers. However the configuration data does not appear correctly in MOM Administrator consoles that run on Microsoft Windows XP or Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computers. The Agent Service Account in this example may appear as "Local System account".
