Mouse Does Not Function Correctly When You Use the Virtual Network Computing Client to Control a Guest PC (825262)

NoticeSYMPTOMSThe mouse may not operate as expected when you use the
Virtual Network Computing (VNC) client to control a guest PC.CAUSEThis issue may occur if the Virtual PC Additions are not
installed on the guest PC.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, install the Virtual PC Additions on
the guest PC: - Start the operating system on the guest PC.
- On the PC menu, click
Install/Update Additions.
- Read the license agreement. If you agree to the terms of the agreement, click
I agree to the terms on this license agreement.
- Click Next, and then click Next again.
- Click Finish when the installation has
completed, and then restart the guest PC.
Note You can install the Virtual PC Additions in the following guest
operating systems:
- Microsoft Windows 95
- Microsoft Windows 98
- Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition
- Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3 (SP3) or
later
- Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or
later
- Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or
Professional
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003
