SUMMARYThis article describes support for CD-R/CD-RW drives in
Virtual PC.MORE INFORMATIONVirtual machines cannot write data to the Macintosh host computer's CD-R/CD-RW drive. Virtual machines use these drives as CD-ROM drives
only.
Some external CD-R/CD-RW drives require that the Toast CD
extension be installed on the Macintosh host computer for the CD-R/CD-RW drive to work on the
Macintosh computer. This extension is installed by Toast, a product of Roxio, Inc. CD-R/CD-RW drives that
use this extension are not accessible as CD-ROM drives in a virtual
machine.
