SUMMARY
This article describes the Outlook 2002 issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Outlook 2002 Post-Service Pack 2 Hotfix package that is dated August 10, 2003.
Issues that are fixed in the hotfix package
The following issue is fixed in this hotfix package:
826225 Cannot Turn Off AutoArchive in Custom Message Store
The following issues are also fixed in this hotfix package, but were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article.
- When you change the encoding type of an e-mail message that is in HTML format, the body of the e-mail message may disappear.
- When you try to find related e-mail messages for an e-mail message that you have replied to, the Search subfolders option may not be available.
- If you receive a new e-mail message that contains a blank sender name, your e-mail name may appear in the From box if a client-side rule is processed on the e-mail message.
- Microsoft Outlook may quit unexpectedly when you open a custom form attachment if the Item_Open function contains an Item_Open = False statement.
- When you attach an unread e-mail message that contains a read receipt request, the read receipt is sent automatically regardless of the tracking option settings for the e-mail message.

This problem was first corrected in Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 3.

- The full-file version of this hotfix is also the administrative version of this hotfix. You can install this version of the hotfix with Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 1 (SP-1). However, Microsoft has not tested this fix on Office XP SP-1 to the same extent as on Office XP Service Pack 2 (SP-2). If you install this hotfix on a computer with Office XP SP-1 installed, some file conflicts might occur. Microsoft supports this configuration, but Microsoft does not recommend this configuration.
