SUMMARY
This article describes the Word 2002 issues that are fixed
in the Word 2002 Post-Service Pack 2 hotfix package that is dated July 27,
2003.
Issues that are fixed in the hotfix package
The following issues are fixed in this hotfix package but were
not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article.
- When you use Word as your e-mail editor in Microsoft
Outlook, if you insert multiple attachments as hyperlinks in a Rich Text Format
(RTF) e-mail message, the attachments (hyperlinks) do not appear separated.
Instead, the hyperlinks appear merged together.
- When you print a document that contains a NUMPAGES field,
the NUMPAGES field is not updated and may print the result of the field with an
incorrect value. This problem may occur when all the following conditions are
true:
- The Update fields option on the
Print tab (on the Tools menu, click
Options) is turned on.
- A header in the document contains an INCLUDEPICTURE,
EMBED or LINK field.
- The INCLUDEPICTURE, EMBED or LINK field is in-line with
text.
- If you delete text, you reduce the number of pages
contained in your document, and then you print the document.
- When you select the body of a document and then press F9 to
update fields, only the first occurrence of a NUMPAGES field is updated. When
your document body contains multiple NUMPAGES fields, if you press F9 a second
time, the second NUMPAGES field is updated. If you press F9 a third time, the
third NUMPAGES field is updated.
