Track the Complete Path that a Message Takes (Including Steps After the Categorizer)

This section is an example of the path that a message takes when it is sent from one Exchange computer to another Exchange computer.

Message History:

Retry Attempt Logging

  • Message Scheduled to Retry Categorization
The message has failed categorization. The message is in the pre-categorizer queue waiting to be retried or is in the process of being categorized.
  • Message Scheduled to Retry Routing
The message has not been routed because of a transient error (that is, the routing engine did not successfully initialize). The message is in the pre-routing queue waiting to be retried or is in the process of being rerouted.
  • Message Scheduled to Retry Local Delivery
The message has not been delivered to the store. The message is queued in the local delivery queue waiting to be retried or is in the process of being resubmitted to the store.
