SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Outlook 2002 may take an unexpectedly long time to start, and the following error message may be logged in the Application event log:


Event Type: Error
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10010
Description: The server {E0B8F398-BB08-4298-87F0-34502693902E} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout.

RESOLUTION
