PRJ2000: "Autorun Error: 5" Internal Error Message During Installation (823625)

SYMPTOMSDuring the installation of Microsoft Project 2000 from
CD-ROM, you may receive the following error message: Autorun error: 5 Internal error please call Microsoft
Support RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, use one of the following methods. Method 1: Troubleshoot Installation from a CD- Examine and clean the CD.
To verify that the CD is
clean and free of scratches, examine the reflective side of the disc. Clean the
disc by wiping it with a soft cloth in a straight line, starting from the
center of the disc and wiping toward the edge. If there are no visible
scratches, and if the errors still occur after you clean the CD, follow the
steps in the next method. If the CD appears scratched, try a new CD. - Reinsert the CD in the CD-ROM drive and try the
installation again.

Method 2: Restart the Computer- Quit any programs that are running and remove the CD from
the CD-ROM drive.
- Restart the computer in Normal Mode.
- Disable any antivirus programs that are installed on the
computer.
- Reinsert the CD and retry the installation.
Method 3: Install in Windows Safe Mode- Restart the computer in Windows Safe
Mode.
