The Internet Settings Dialog Box of Pocket Internet Explorer Does Not Fit in QVGA Mode (823609)

SYMPTOMSThe Internet Settings dialog box of Pocket Internet Explorer does not all fit in QVGA mode (240 x 320 screen resolution) for languages that do not support localized resource files. A portion of the dialog box is not visible on the screen. These languages are: - Brazilian
- Simplified Chinese
- Traditional Chinese
- Dutch
- French
- German
- Italian
- Korean
- Portuguese
- Spanish
- Swedish
CAUSEThis problem occurs because the Inetcpl_qvga.res resource file (for the languages that are listed in the "Symptoms" section) uses the VGA dialog box size.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, follow these steps: - Copy the English version of Inetcpl_qvga.res file from the following folder:
\WINCE420\PUBLIC\IE\Oak\Lib\ProcessorName\Retail - Paste the Inetcpl_qvga.res file into a localized resource folder and overwrite the existing Inetcpl_qvga.res file.
For example, paste the English version of Inetcpl_qvga.res into the following Korean localized resource folder by overwriting the existing file: \WINCE420\PUBLIC\IE\Oak\Lib\ProcessorName\Retail\0412\
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section of this article.
