Windows SharePoint Services is not updated when you change an e-mail address in Project Web Access of Project 2003 or Project Server 2003 (823576)

SYMPTOMSWhen you change the e-mail address for a Microsoft Windows Share Point
Site user, the e-mail address is not updated. CAUSEThis problem occurs when the
following conditions are true:
- In the Microsoft Office Project Web Access Manage
users and groups tool, you change the e-mail address for a Windows
Share Point Site user.
- On the Manage Windows SharePoint Services
sites page, you click the Synchronize
button.
After you do this, the e-mail address is not
synchronized.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, use the "Alert me about my
resources" feature. When you view a document, an issue, or a risk, click
Alert me about my resources, and then type your new e-mail
address.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
