MORE INFORMATION

The PFE edition of the Microsoft Premier Services Reporting Tool (MPSRPT_PFE.exe) is intended for use by Microsoft Premier Field Engineering customers to gather detailed system status and configuration information. The data that is collected helps with fault isolation and general overall server information gathering. MPS_REPORTS is a self-extracting tool that runs on Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP, and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 including 64-bit editions. Each time you run MPSRPT_PFE.exe, it is re-extracted (overwriting the previous installation). MPSRPT_PFE.exe then calls MPSRpt.cmd to gather the reports. The reporting tool does not make any registry changes or modifications to the operating system. If the .cab file is not created, copy all the files in the %SystemRoot%\MPSReports\PFE folder to a compressed (zipped) file. The %SystemRoot% folder is the folder where you installed the operating system. Typically, this is the C:\Winnt folder or the C:\Windows folder.
  3. Send the .cab file or the compressed (zipped) file to your Microsoft contact by using the method agreed upon.
