SUMMARY

This article describes the Microsoft Project 2002 issues that are fixed in the Microsoft Project 2002 hotfix package that is dated June 25, 2003.

Issues That Are Fixed in the Hotfix Package

The following Microsoft Project 2002 issues are fixed in this hotfix package:
  • 823361 PRJ2002: Project Crashes When You Open a Project File

  • 822844 PRJ2002: Active Directory Information for New Resources Does Not Import As Expected

The following Microsoft Project 2002 issues are also fixed in this hotfix package, but they were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base
  • If you customize fields that were saved in the cached global file (Global.mpt) in Microsoft Project Professional 2002, the customized fields can be automatically copied to the Enterprise Global without warning and cause field duplication. This problem occurs when you have permissions to modify the Enterprise Global and to update the fields in the Global.mpt file.
  • When you select the option to hide external tasks in Microsoft Project 2002, the external tasks are not hidden. This problem occurs when you expand the task to show the subtasks.
  • When you copy and paste task dates in a consolidated project in Microsoft Project 2002, the task dates may not recalculate as expected.
