SUMMARY
This article describes the Microsoft Excel 2002 issues that
are fixed in the Microsoft Excel 2002 Post-Service Pack 2 Hotfix package that
is dated July 11, 2003.
Issues That Are Fixed in the Hotfix Package
The following issues are fixed in this hotfix package. These
issues were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base
article
- The ChangeLink Method Does Not Behave As Excepted
Not all array formulas that contain external Microsoft
Excel links are changed when you use the Microsoft Visual Basic for
Applications (VBA) ChangeLink method. - The Range.Calculate or the Selection.Calculate Methods Fail After You Update Links to a Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) Server
Excel does not calculate ranges in a workbook when the Range.Calculate or the Selection.Calculate methods are called. This issue occurs after you open and update
any workbook with DDE links.

- The full-file version of this hotfix is also the
administrative version of this hotfix. You can install this version of the
hotfix with Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 1 (SP-1). However, Microsoft has
not tested this fix on Office XP SP-1 to the same extent as on Office XP
Service Pack 2 (SP-2). If you install this hotfix on a computer with Office XP
SP-1 installed, some file conflicts might occur. Microsoft supports this
configuration, but we do not recommend this configuration.
