MSBBN: Cannot install an MN-120 Network Adapter (823218)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to install the Microsoft Broadband Networking 10 100 Ethernet Notebook Adapter
MN-120, you may experience one or more of the following behaviors:
- The Microsoft Broadband Networking Setup program does not detect your adapter.
- The network adapter does not physically fit in the PC Card Slot.
- The card does not work.
CAUSEThis issue may occur when you try to insert the notebook adapter in a
PC Card (PCMCIA) Slot on an older model Notebook/Laptop computer that does not meet
current standards for PC Cards (PCMCIA).
The MN-120 is only compatible with Type II PC Card
Slots.MORE INFORMATIONThe MN-120 cannot be inserted in an incompatible card slot unless it is forced.
