Wireless Optical Desktops (Version 2.0)

For a Microsoft Windows-based Computer

To use the Wireless Optical Desktop or the Wireless Optical Desktop Pro, you must have:

• One of the following operating systems:
  • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or Microsoft Windows XP Professional with a Pentium 233 megahertz (MHz) or higher processor and 128 megabytes (MB) of RAM.
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional or Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with a Pentium 133 MHz or higher processor and 128 MB of RAM.
• 60 MB of available hard-disk space.
• For the keyboard, an available PS/2 keyboard port or Universal Serial Bus (USB) port.
• For the mouse, an available PS/2 mouse port or USB port.
• ACD-ROM drive.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or later to view Help files.
• Optional: Microsoft Office XP, Microsoft Office 2000, or Microsoft Office 97 (Small Business Tools program is not supported).

For a Macintosh-based Computer

To use the Wireless Optical Desktop or the Wireless Optical Desktop Pro, you must have:

• Mac OS X version 10.1 to 10.2.x (not including 10.0).
• 30 MB of available hard-disk space.
• An available USB port.
• A CD-ROM drive.
• Optional: Microsoft Office v.X, Microsoft Office 2001 Macintosh Edition, or Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition.

Wireless Optical Desktops (Version 1.0)

For a Microsoft Windows-based Computer

To use the Wireless Optical Desktop or the Wireless Optical Desktop Pro, you must have:

• One of the following operating systems:
  • Microsoft Windows 98 or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me) with a Pentium 133 MHz or higher processor and 32 MB of RAM.
  • Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Workstation or Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server with Service Pack 6 (SP6) or later (no Universal Serial Bus (USB) support) with a Pentium 133 MHz or higher processor and 64 MB of RAM.
  • Windows 2000 Professional or Windows 2000 Server with a Pentium 133 MHz or higher processor and 128 MB of RAM.
  • Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional with a Pentium 233 MHz or higher processor and 128MB of RAM.
• 60 MB of available hard-disk space.
• For the keyboard: an available PS/2 keyboard port or USB port (USB requires Windows 98, Windows Millennium Edition (Me), Windows 2000, or Windows XP).

  • Mac OS X - 10.1 to 10.1.3 (not including 10.0).
• 30 MB of available hard-disk space.
• An available USB port.
• Optional: Microsoft Office 98 or Microsoft Office 2001 Macintosh Edition or Microsoft Office v.X on Mac OS X - 10.1 to 10.1.3.
