You receive a stackunderflow error message when you print a Publisher publication as composite CMYK in Publisher 2003 (823135)

SYMPTOMSWhen you try to print a Publisher publication as composite
cyan-magenta-yellow-black (CMYK), you may receive a PostScript error message
similar to the one of following: %%[ Error:
stackunderflow; OffendingCommand: exch ]%% Stack: 50 %%[ Error: typecheck; OffendingCommand: mul
]%% Stack: 255 These problems may occur when you run a
PostScript file through Adobe Acrobat Distiller or when you try to print
directly to a color PostScript printer. CAUSEThis problem occurs if both of the following conditions are
true:
- The publication contains either BorderArt frames, imported
Windows Enhanced Metafile (EMF) graphics that have transparent borders, or
both.
- The printer driver is configured to convert grayscale
graphics to PostScript gray
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, turn off the Convert Gray
Graphics to PostScript Gray option. To do this, follow these steps:
- Quit Publisher if it is running.
- Click Start, and then click
Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click the printer that you trying to print to, and
then click Properties.
- Click the Device Settings tab.
- Change Convert Gray Graphics to PostScript
Gray to No.
- Click OK.
