workaround for this problem. This article contains information that may help
you avoid encountering this problem again in the future. ERROR SIGNATUREThis article discusses a problem that can have the following error
signatures: App Name App Version Module Name Module Version Offset

Outlook.exe 10.0.xxxx.x Hawkex.dll version 0000ebbc where xxxx.x is a number
that is later than 2605.0, and version is later than
6.1.1008.1. Additionally, other offsets are possible. SYMPTOMSIf you do one of the following
- Start Outlook 2003.
-or- - Open an e-mail message in Outlook 2003.
you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
To see what data this error
report contains, click here. When you view the data in the error
report, the error report contains an error signature that is similar to the one
that is listed at the beginning of this article. CAUSEThis behavior may occur if the Network Associates McAfee
Hawkex add-in is installed on your computer.RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, contact Network Associates to
inquire about the availability of a fix for this behavior. WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, remove the McAfee Hawkex
add-in. To do this:
- Quit Outlook 2003.
- Click Start, and then click
Run.
- In the Open box, type
outlook.exe /safe, and then click
OK.
- On the Tools menu, click
Options.
- On the Other tab, click Advanced
Options.
- In the Advanced Options dialog box, click
Add-In Manager.
- Click to select the check boxes of all the add-ins that you
require except for the McAfee Hawkex add-in, and then click
OK.
- In the Advanced Options dialog box, click
OK, and then click OK in the
Options dialog box.
- Quit and restart Outlook 2003.
