Tablet PC Inking Feature Does Not Work in Full Screen Mode (822088)

SYMPTOMS

When you start a Microsoft PowerPoint slide show in full-screen mode from Microsoft Internet Explorer and then try to use the Tablet PC Inking feature as described in the following PowerPoint Help topic, the Inking feature is not available:
  • "Troubleshoot Ink in PowerPoint - I can't use the Inking feature in slide show view Statement:
    You may be viewing the presentation in a Web browser. To enable the Inking feature in this situation, tap FullScreen on the View menu of your Web browser."

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of an error in the documentation that instructed you to use the Inking feature in full screen mode. This feature was not designed to work in this way.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
