SYMPTOMSIf an error occurs in Windows Media Player, Windows tries to report the error to Microsoft by sending an online error report. There is no option to not send this report.CAUSEThis behavior occurs because you cannot turn off Windows Media Player 9 error reporting in Windows 2000.WORKAROUNDTo prevent Windows Media Player from sending an online error report, rename the Dw15.exe file in the Windows Media Player folder. When you do so, Windows Media Player creates an error log instead of an online error report. To do so, follow these steps: - Click Start, click Search, and then click All files and folders.
