PRB: Application Center 2000 Cannot Display MSDE Performance Counters When Japanese Is Selected For Non-Unicode Programs (821939)

SYMPTOMSIf Japanese is selected as a language for non-Unicode programs in Regional and Language options (in Control Panel), and if you create a cluster with Application Center 2000, you cannot add any performance counters in the cluster view of the Application Center 2000 Microsoft Management Console (MMC). When you click the Add button to add performance counters, the Add a Counter box is empty. You will also receive an application event log error that is similar to the following: Event ID 8022
