HTTP Indexing Service Object Is Not Listed in the Performance Monitor Counters (821892)


The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server SP4

SYMPTOMS

In Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 (SP4), when you view the Performance object list in the Add Counters dialog box of the Performance utility, the HTTP Indexing Service object does not appear.

CAUSE

In Windows 2000 SP4, the HTTP Indexing Service object is not listed unless you issue an Internet Data Query (IDQ) query.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, run an IDQ query. For information about how to create an IDQ query, visit the following Microsoft Web sites:
