SYMPTOMS

In an application that was created by using Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0, the Printer object may develop a memory leak if the application prints several thousand times per day. When this problem occurs, the private byte usage increases and does not decrease.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0. For more information, visit the following Microsoft Web site:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was corrected in Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 6.
